About Elizabeth Goethe
Elizabeth Goethe received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Music and Music Education from Towson University and the University of Maryland. She is very active in local, state, and national music teachers organizations, having been a secretary for the Music Teachers National Association Eastern Division, a convention chair and vice president of student activities for the Maryland State Music Teachers Association, secretary and treasurer for the Greater Columbia Music Teachers Association, treasurer for the Greater Baltimore Music Teachers Association, and Baltimore region director for the National Guild of Piano Teachers, American College Musicians - the position she currently holds.
Ms. Elizabeth is experienced with all ages and styles, and she specializes in preparing students for the American College of Musicians piano exams. A prior music teacher for the Baltimore County Public Schools, she is equally comfortable teaching serious students and recreational students.
In addition to her work as a piano instructor, Ms. Elizabeth also has been teaching music at St. John's Episcopal Pre-School in Glyndon, since 1979.
