About James Leitch
James Leitch is a guitar player and teacher from Baltimore, MD. He got his first guitar in 1996 as a teenager, and it’s been his passion ever since.
James studied guitar at CCBC Essex and Towson University and earned multiple prizes for his performances, including being the first
undergraduate guitarist at Towson to win a competition including non-guitar instruments. James has performed in master classes with world-class
guitarists such as David Russell and the late Roland Dyens. After graduating, he spent 5 years teaching Guitar, Chorus, General Music, and
Music History in Baltimore City Public Schools. Comfortable with virtually any style of guitar, James’s musical interests are varied, but he is most
at home playing fingerstyle arrangements of classical, jazz, and pop favorites.
