Maryland's Governor has announced stage 2 for reopening Maryland businesses and services. Artist Music is assessing how we may safely offer in-person lessons again, and we need your feedback! Please complete the survey below and we'll be announcing next steps soon.

In keeping with CDC guidelines and recommendations by professionals, Artist Music's Academies will be implementing the following:

1. All students and teachers will be required to wear face masks while in the academy.
(because of the face mask requirement, in-person wind instrument & voice lessons will not be available yet)
2. Except for the student in the lesson, all others must wait outside the building (waiting area will be closed).
3. An exception may be made for young students needing a parent in the lesson room. In such cases, the parent must remain in the lesson room for the entire lesson.
4. For the safety of the student, parents must be ready outside the building to receive their child from the teacher promptly when the lesson is finished.
5. Students arriving to their lesson must be ready outside the building for their teacher to escort them in to their lesson.
6. Students will not be allowed to bring food or drink into the building.
7. Teachers will keep distance from students as much as possible, expect in cases where demonstration is needed.
8. Hand sanitizer will be available in the academy, and students and teachers will be asked to sanitize their hands before and after lessons.
9. Teachers will sanitize piano keys, music stands, door knobs, and other surfaces as needed between each lesson.
10. Parents must take their children's temperatures and make certain that they are symptom and fever-free before attending an in-person lesson. Adult students, Academy teachers, and Artist Music staff must do the same.
