About Erin Lee
Korean-American pianist Erin Lee is inspired by the powerful capacity of music to both connect and heal, and is passionate about sharing this transformative power through education and collaborative performance. Erin has enjoyed a multifaceted musical career in solo piano performance, chamber music, and musical education, combining her passion for music with cultural advocacy and meaningful community interactions. She received her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees, as well as her Graduate Performance Diploma, in Piano Performance from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University under Dr. Alexander Shtarkman.
Erin has achieved success in competitions including the Concert Festival International Competition, Hulbert International Concerto Competition, Robert Turner Concerto Competition, Alice Frazier Scholarship Competition, Southern California Bach Festival, OC Korean Cultural Center Competition, Montecito International Solo Competition, and the LA Korea Times Competition. An avid lover of chamber music, she has participated in collaborative performances with musical organizations including the Los Angeles Doctors Symphony, Young Musicians Foundation, and Chamber Music OC, and has attended festivals such as the Montecito International Music Festival, Music@Menlo, and Aspen Music Festival. Erin has also performed in masterclasses from renowned artists such as Emanuel Ax, Gary Graffman, Julian Martin, Robert McDonald, Wu Han and David Finckel, and Richard Goode. Passionate about mental and physical health awareness in the performing arts as well as accessible music education, Erin is also a highly involved teacher at multiple schools in the DMV area, and frequently enjoys performing and collaborating with other musicians in the community. Most recently, she joined the Baltimore chapter of the Piano Technician’s Guild, and is currently pursuing a career in piano technology alongside her performance endeavors.
