About Samantha Hornback
Samantha Hornback, soprano, is a recent graduate of the Peabody Conservatory, where she studied with Elizabeth Futral for her Master’s.
She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Simpson College where she studied with Dr. Kimberly Roberts. There, she performed
in all eight operas produced, which included singing leading roles in four of them. Some of the highlights of her time there include
Julie Jordan (Carousel), Calisto (La Calisto), The Child (The Child and the Magic Spells), and Susanna (The Marriage of Figaro).
She appeared at the University of Arizona as Beauty (Beauty and the Beast) and Sister Constance (Dialogues of the Carmelites). In her time at Peabody,
she appeared in the Peabody Opera Outreach productions of ANON and Hansel and Gretel, and on the mainstage in
Suor Angelica. Last summer, she attended the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival, performing the role of Tytania (A Midsummer Night’s Dream).
