• I'm Read to Start! How Do I Set Up? •

Once you have the equipment set up with the video chat program you'll be using, you'll need to make sure of the following:
1. Have you completed the virtual lesson information form to make sure that your teacher knows how to connect with you?  If not, then click here or click the link at the bottom of this page. ↓

2. If your teacher doesn't have a copy of the music you're working on, then you'll want to text or email us a picture of your music. If you're working out of a beginner book, then we probably have it, but it doesn't hurt to send it anyhow!
Text copies of your music to 410-303-5043 or email info@artistmusic.org.

3. Make sure to position your device so that your teacher can see your hands and face (for instrumentalists) or the entire upper half of your body (for vocalists).
See below for setup examples.
↓

     Setup for Piano

Position the device camera so the teacher can see the hands, keys, and the student's face.

It's best not to put the device on the piano or on the piano's music rack. The teacher will see your face, but not your hands!

     For All Other Instruments

Position yourself so that you can see your music and so that your teacher can see your face and your hands. Vocal students should make sure that your teacher can see the upper half of your body as well.
