We work with around 30 teachers of different specialties.  No other music school in the area has as strict a college training requirement as we do.  Our teachers must have degrees or major college studies in the fields that they teach, so you don't have a guitarist teaching you piano, or a pianist trying to teaching you clarinet!

Recently, a piano student who transferred from a competitor (where he took piano lessons with the guitarist) said, "I've learned more in 2 weeks here, than I did in 6 months at the other place!"

We have worked with children and adults for years, and we've seen many of our students to go on to great things!  Our students have received scholarships to many prestigious institutions, including Princeton, Peabody, Johns Hopkins, Columbia, the University of Maryland, and more. Two recent graduates (2019) received a large scholarship to Peabody (for music) and a full scholarship to the University of Maryland, College Park (for a double major in music and bio-sciences).  And our adult students have raved about the improved quality of life that comes with Owings Mills Music Academy lessons.

Parents are always welcome to sit in the lessons with their children, but we accommodate those who would rather wait outside the room.  All of our lesson rooms have glass door entrances, so lessons are visible to those in the waiting area.  And we offer free WiFi and access to children's toys for our guests who are waiting!

Our large classrooms allow for semi-private (2 students), trio (3 students), and group (4 or more) lessons in addition to private lessons!  And we give an advantage to piano students that no other music academy in the state gives - every one of our piano lesson rooms is equipped with a grand piano so that even beginning piano students can learn how to work with the touch and range of sound of the type of instrument they'll experience on stage, in competitions, and in adjudicated events.

6. Biannual studio recitals plus smaller recitals and events

 
Our studio-wide recitals are hard to beat! Students have an opportunity to demonstrate the stage presence and presentation skills which they learn in their lessons, and every student is eligible to receive a prize during the awards ceremony at the end of each recital.  Attendance is free to all family members, making it easy for family members to attend and cheer on their loved ones!

7. Professional office staff to serve you 6 days a week

 
Many lesson locations have irregular hours or only an answering machine.  At the Owings Mills Music Academy, we have a team of dedicated office staff at the desk 6 days a week, so that students and parents can speak with a live person during our office hours.

10. Early morning and lunch time lessons for home schoolers, retirees, college students, and working professionals

 
Being one of the largest music schools in the region means that the Owings Mills Academy can be a "full service" music academy and offer music lessons as early as 8am on certain days. We are also able to accommodate students during their lunch hour.  If you are a home school parent, retiree, college student, or working professional with a flexible schedule, then be sure to ask how you can take advantage of our early lesson times.

We have 3 locations available for lessons: Reisterstown/Owings Mills, Perry Hall/White Marsh, and Lutherville/Towson. Musical instruments for sale and rent, sheet music and accessories are also available through the Artist Music Center shops in Owings Mills and White Marsh.

or as low as $32.00 / 30 mins with a tuition plan or 1-year payment
Monthly plan: $130 / month  |  Annual Plan: $120 / month
