2022 Competition Winners

Piano Student Andy Wang's Submission to the 2022 North American Virtuoso International Music Competition won him their Gold Medal. Andy, a student of Dr. Jarl Hulbert, is also the 2nd Prize Winner of the William Knabe International Piano Competition's Concerto Division. In addition, he was also the only student at the Rushmore Music Festival invited to tour with faculty as a member of the faculty chamber group. Congratulations Andy!

Former student and current intern teacher Avagail Hulbert won 2nd Prize in the 2022 Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestra's Concerto Competition. Her prize included a solo performance with the symphony orchestra, which is shown in the video below. Avagail will be attending the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University as a scholarship student this fall, but she'll still be available to teach students virtually.  Congratulations Avagail!
